An American Thinking Of Studying Abroad?

I just did the same answer for another gal...You should get your degree from an American University. They are, for the most part, the best in the world, and you will get the best education that way, and the most marketable degree. DO do a study abroad year. Do a year, if you can afford it, rather than a semester. It's a more intense experience, and if you are going for foreign language, it's a MUST, as the language learning doesn't really set in until about the end of that first semester. You don't want to just begin to learn the language, then have to come home.

I'm really not sure it's possible to get a student visa for the full time you need to do a full university program (which is five years, not four, in Europe). But you won't be able to take a job, so that's something to consider. Also, all the social stuff you get at an American University just doesn't exist over there. They don't have clubs, and greeks and teams and such. You would be missing out on all of that.
